Easy to use

Simply tilt the cans into place and secure.

No more lifting, dragging, or hauling that big wheeled trash can down your long or steep driveway once a week to the designated pick up point.

Do things differently!

How does it all work?

Garbage can hauling hooks are specially designed and act as a retaining device that holds the handle in place during transportation. The hook and swiveling top rail are key in making a smooth trouble-free way to get trash down a winding driveway. The design has two patents and one design patent. It comes in four different mounting methods, a receiver-style, ball mounted, bolt mounted and bumper mounted.
Normal suggested range of 14” to a max of 21” in total height off the ground. With a 96 gallon tote, the cans should be tilted at a 30-degree angle to allow enough of the weight to be distributed to the handle. We base this off a 96 gal tote that is approx. 42” from the ground to the handle. If the angle is too tall the can will want to tilt upright again when towing.

RECEIVER MOUNTED GARBAGE HOOKS

Attach the garbage hook to any 2" or 1-1/4" receiver hitch, then simply tilt trash bins over our specially designed retainer hooks and drive the trash to the road. Our swiveling bracket allows cans to trail evenly and smoothly down your driveway like a trailer. The upright has a 6" adjustable riser to set the operating level to the ideal working height. To make attaching the receiver models even easier, add the quick pivot locking hitch pin. Available in either a double or single can model

BALL MOUNTED GARBAGE HOOKS

Ball mounted hooks allow you to keep your existing  1-7/8" or 2" trailer hitch in place. Simply pin it to the underside of the ball, and tilt the garbage cans over the specially designed retainer hooks. Ball mounted garbage hooks are available in either a double can or single can model. Operating height will be determined by your trailer hitch distance off the ground.

Mountain Hooks

For the steepest driveways

Mountain Hooks are designed for the steepest driveways. The can's handle is cradled around our U-channel and secured in place using a PTO pin one each side of the trash can. This makes it impossible for the can's handle to detach during transportation. They are also great for when installation heights that are more than 20" tall or when using our Can Couples for hauling multiple cans at one time.

Garbage Hook Weight Capacity

  • According to statistics the average amount of waste produced per person in the U.S. is 30 pounds per week. When both a trash cart and recycle cart are provided, approximately 20 pounds per person per week is deposited into the trash cart and 10 pounds per person per week is deposited into the recycle cart. Therefore a family of four will produce approximately 80 pounds of trash and 40 pounds of recycle waste per week.

We have determined that by “handle weight”

That is the total amount of weight resting on the hook itself.

We loaded a trash can with 150 lbs and tested it at 3 different points.

14”, 18” and 21” which is the recommended height range for all our products.

  • For our UBL units the handle weight would be 40 lbs

  • For our Receiver Mounted the handle weight would be 50 lbs

  • For our Ball Mounted the handle weight would be 75 lbs.
