UBL-BA Single Can Ball or Bolt Mounted Hook

The UBL-BA is ideal for when the vehicle is too low and it needs to be raised up higher than the ball height. This great two-in-one can either be a ball mounted or bolt mounted hook.

With our Can Coupler, you can add multiple cans creating a train.

Designed to tow today’s larger 64 and 96 gallon wheeled containers with ease. Install and remove in seconds, lightweight at only 3 lbs.

The cans handle rest into the mountain hooks channel and are pined in-place using a removable PTO clip to prevent the can from tipping out during transportation.

Heavy, 1/8” 11 gauge steel construction. Laser cut and formed for consistent quality, parts are powder coated with a matte black finish for a durable finish.

The ball mounted is ideal if you leave your trailer ball in the receiver hitch. Just unfasten the PTO clip when you're done and clip it back on when you need it. Easily change it from vehicle to vehicle.

Your towing height will be determined by the height of your trailer ball hitch.

Normal working height is from 14” to 24”, allowing approximately 30% of the cans weight to be resting to the support arm.

Note: Center knuckle on trash lid must be smaller than 2 1/2”

The operating weight on the hook is 75 lbs.

  • Q: Can I back up with my cans attached?

A: No, our garbage can hauling hooks are designed to be pulled. Never back up with cans attached.

Q: I have a 32 gallon trash can. Does this work for me?

A: The 32 gal containers are lower and depending on the receiver hitch height they might not tilt at the right angle. An easy way to see measures the receiver height and add 2" this will be where the arm for hauling would be set. If you have 14" at a minimum height then you should be able to use this.

Q: Would this work to go down a hill without trash can spilling or unhitching?

A: Unhitching yes. Spilling all depends on how much you fill your garbage can. You can always use a bungee to help secure the lid down. There are other companies that make straps as well.

Q: Does it work with Toter garbage containers?

A: Yes, we have not found a problem with Toter since we have changed the Mountain Hook set up.

Q: I’m worried about the point breaking under heavy loads! Is there a warranty?

A: Yes, we have a 30 day no questions asked warranty. Keep in mind the “average” waste produced by the average family of 4 is 80 pounds. We do not suggest hauling manure, compost, or anything really dense. We have seen it before, just be careful.

Q: Is the steel gauge to light, is it easy to twist or bend with a full garbage can

A:The hooks are all 11 gauge steel. They can bend if over weighted. Suggested weight for this unit is 75lbs or below

Q: What do I need to use this device with my golf cart?

A: This will need a 1-7/8" or 2" ball hitch to mount to. If you have a hole in the rear step that a ball hitch can be mounted you will be good.

If your cart has 2" receiver hitch you could use either of our receiver mounted unit or have a trailer hitch inserted.

Q: Could this fit onto a mower without a ball hitch? I have a typical riding mower, just a hitch with a hole in it

A:The UBL’s can be used as a bolt on. This unit could be modified by dropping the ball mounting base and add a 3/8 x 1-1/2 bolt with a lock washer to fasten to your pin mounting plate.
